To give you an idea of where we’re coming from….

There’s this place in Hawaii where it rains like crazy.

It’s called Big Bog.

What a cool name, right? Big Bog.

Anyway, Big Bog, on Maui, is not only the largest high-altitude bog in the Hawaiian Islands…with a reported annual rainfall of 404 inches, it’s reputed to be one of the wettest places on earth.

There are very specific conditions that make for this unusually wet tropical rainforest climate: Its altitude puts it very close to something called the trade wind inversion layer, which means there’s a persistent flow of moisture-rich air carried by the northeast trade winds up the steep mountain slopes.

And these trade winds condense to form clouds and precipitation.

Which means it rains. It rains a whole lot.

And the Big Bog ecosystem has evolved to not just survive but thrive in an environment that receives more than 33 FEET of rain a year.

 Your business has its own ecosystem,

a dynamic entity controlled by both internal and external factors.

What if…

you could quickly and effectively identify your ecosystem and evolve your plans and practices to thrive in your business environment?

What if…

you knew exactly where to focus your attention to produce the best results and create an atmosphere of freedom and abundance?

That’s what Agile Rainmakers is about.

Robert J. Khoury, Co-Founder & CEO of Agile Rainmakers

Rob Khoury is the co-founder and CEO of Agile Rainmakers, a high-impact business development consulting and advisory firm based in Chicago’s Gold Coast. His 20+year career in the financial industry has seen him in many roles: an equity derivatives trader, portfolio manager, corporate strategist, chief operating officer, recruiter, hedge fund executive, and private equity investor.

Rob earned a BSE in Electrical Engineering at Princeton University and his MBA in Finance and International Business from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. He takes great pleasure in supporting both Princeton and Duke—he’s past president of Chicago’s Princeton Club—and has won awards from both universities for his service. (The colors in the Agile Rainmakers logo? Orange for Princeton, blue in honor of Duke. Say no more.) He’s also a very active fundraiser for Providence Country Day School, the high school he attended in Rhode Island, where Rob was born and raised.

Rob led personal and professional development seminars for Landmark Worldwide for several years; enjoys volunteering, philanthropy, and family vacations; and lives with his wife, Mary—a freshwater ecologist—and their two children in a downtown Chicago condo overlooking Lake Michigan.

When it comes to results, Rob has a reputation for delivering:

  • He was a team member playing a role in multi-million dollar revenue years at 3 different firms—once a COO, once a managing partner, once a VP of Strategy;

  • Rob was Sr VP of Strategy with a firm through its 20x expansion in revenues;

  • and he has been an executive of a company averaging $2.2M in daily profits.

His approach to business is at once pragmatic and transformational:

Rob facilitates success by providing what’s needed in the moment, looking for what’s missing or off in the ecosystem and addressing it.

At the same time, he serves as a trusted advisor and coach in the realm of who one is being—in life, and in any given situation.

Rob is also an accomplished speaker and is available for keynotes and other opportunities to mentor, instruct and inspire.

You can’t get time back, so you might as well enjoy your work. I believe in making epic challenges fun.

For me, fun is people coming together as a team to overcome big challenges that lead to breakthrough results and new opportunities—and throughout the process, experiencing freedom and abundance.

“There is always a way to success, you just need to find it. If you can’t find it, create it. Anything is possible—especially when you are committed to the idea that anything is possible.”

— Robert J. Khoury

“He’s very good about mixing in the human element, making sure we know all this stuff only works as long as you and your team are happy.

You could have the best-ever month, but what good is that if by then, everybody on the team wants to leave?”
